Reversible Christmas Deer half apron

My name is Beth Butorac and here is my story.

 I am in my 50's and have been married to the same wonderful man for 31 years and counting.  I have two grown children (wow, that is hard to say!). My daughter, the oldest, is married and is a special education teacher. That has been her passion since high school. In 2021, my husband and I became empty nesters when our son joined the marine corps. 

Anyway, I have always been interested in the arts.  It started with theater, then murals, then painting acrylic on canvas, then cross stitching. I still like doing that stuff, but I am one of those artists that likes to try new things. I also wanted to eventually have my own business doing something.  I had always wanted to learn how to machine sew.  I made my first t shirt blanket for my daughter.  I was then hooked on sewing! I began sewing quilts with the help of YouTube!  (Now YouTube and I are very close!).  Soon after, I was introduced to the Cricut machine and how to make fabric appliques to put on a quilt. I began using vinyl on t shirts, then along came hotfix rhinestone tutorials and I bought a silhouette machine. Then screen printing, then I was introduced to sublimation, and I fell in love! 

In 2022 I was diagnosed with stage 1a breast cancer.  Surgery and radiation followed, but thankfully, no chemo.  Now medication for at least 5 years. I am now proud to say that I am a cancer survivor!    And in the same year, Purple Lyza was born. I am still on a never-ending journey of learning and discovering new things, and I love it!

  I am a crafter; a wife; a proud Mom of a Marine; a proud mom of a special education teacher; a breast cancer survivor, and a beautiful and unique person. 

      I do custom, made-to-order t shirts, wind spinners, aprons and ornaments using sublimation, screen printing, rhinestones and sewing.
